Chamber Singers, Women's Choir and The Civic Chorale of Greater Miami

The Chamber Singers is the select choral ensemble of the Kendall Campus. Composed primarily of vocal majors, the group performs frequently both on campus as well as in the community. The Chamber Choir performs a wide variety of classical music with emphasis on the development of performance skills both as a choral singer and soloist.

The Miami Dade Women's Choir is the only choral ensemble focused solely on women's literature. It provides students with the opportunity to study and perform a variety of choral literature representing a wide variety of styles, historical periods, and languages. The course equips students with the tools needed to develop good choral vocal technique and musicianship through a wide variety of oral, aural and written skills.

The Civic Chorale of Greater Miami was founded in 1970 by Dr. Lee Kjelson and over the years has grown to approximately 100 singers. Their ranks represent numerous professions and range in age from 16 to 78. They all however, share a common love for the singing of great choral music. Their repertoire is as diverse as their membership - they sing it all: from Bach to Rogers and Hammerstein.

Come see the Chamber Singers, Women's Choir and The Civic Chorale of Greater Miami on Monday, March 1st at 7:30 p.m. at Miami Dade College, Kendall Campus at the McCarthy Theatre Building, room 6120.

This event is free and open to the public.
